At SoJiuJitsu, our Striking Program is designed for all levels — from complete beginners to experienced athletes — in a positive, structured, and supportive training environment. Each class is organized to meet students where they are, allowing everyone to progress at a pace that matches their goals and experience.

Our coaching focuses on technical precision, proper mechanics, and personal attention. Students receive clear instruction and direct feedback while learning effective punches, kicks, knees, footwork, and defensive skills. Classes blend technical instruction, drilling, pad work, and controlled application to build strong fundamentals and real striking confidence.

Training is led by a professional MMA striking coach from Tristar Gym, coached by Firas Zahabi, bringing world-class expertise and modern MMA-influenced striking into every session. We don’t just teach combinations — we teach why movements work, helping students understand timing, distance, and efficiency.

With classes offered 7 days a week, our program covers a wide range of training styles, from fitness-driven sessions to technical development and controlled sparring. Whether your goal is to improve conditioning, self-defense, or competition readiness, we provide a structured environment where steady progress is the standard.

  • Yes. We offer age-appropriate Striking classes for kids starting at 8 years old. Classes are designed to be safe, structured, and engaging, with a focus on coordination, discipline, basic striking fundamentals, and confidence-building through controlled drills and pad work. Safety, proper technique, and positive coaching are always the priority.

  • No experience is required. Our program is designed for all levels, from complete beginners to experienced strikers. Coaches adapt the training and provide guidance so everyone can progress safely and confidently.

  • For beginners, comfortable athletic clothing and hand wraps are enough to get started. Gloves, shin guards, and other protective equipment can be added as you progress, especially for technical sparring. Our coaches will guide you on what you need and when.

  • Yes. Safety is a top priority at SoJiuJitsu. Classes are structured, supervised, and progressive. Technical sparring is controlled and only introduced when students are ready, always using appropriate protective gear.

  • Striking Cardio focuses on conditioning, movement, and calorie burn using punches, kicks, and pad work in a high-energy group format. Technical Sparring focuses on controlled rounds where students apply techniques with a partner, emphasizing timing, distance, and safety.

  • Most students see progress training 2–4 times per week. With classes available 7 days a week, you can build a schedule that fits your goals—whether that’s improving fitness, learning self-defense, or preparing for competition.
